Church of the Holy Cross

Edgewood SHARE is now one year old at Church of the Holy Cross! We are officially the distribution site for Edgewood, one of several in central New Mexico.

SHARE stands for Self Help And Resource Exchange. It provides a valuable service for area residents . . . quality food, great prices and just as importantly, community involvement.

How does it work?

• You order and pick up your food once a month.
• Newspapers are delivered with each food shipment, showing the package contents and items available for the next month.
• Newspapers are also available at many locations in the community, including the church.
• You can order in person at church on Sundays, online or by mail.
• There is no membership fee and no income requirement.
• You can order predetermined packages, individual items or both.

This is an excellent opportunity to meet new people, contribute to our community and introduce people in Edgewood to our church. It’s also the kind of project that Mother Christy was very interested in and one that Father Chuck enthusiastically supported.

Another really great benefit is that because we are a distribution site, the church receives 4% of all orders each month! As our orders increase, there is an opportunity to earn higher rebates.

Several volunteers contribute a few hours a month to making this program work and they’ve made it a great success . . . not to mention making it fun in the process! We welcome all volunteers – it feels good, it’s a great community activity and we have a good time!

(Very early to Albuquerque, lifting and loading . . . and then they cheerfully bring us our food!)
